Hello CPGirlAJ, the following content you uploaded violates one or more of our policies and therefore has been or will soon be deleted:

File:Katy_Perry_at_California_Dreams_Tour.jpg

The Wikimedia Commons (this website) only hosts media files with a realistic educational purpose and that can be used for any purpose, including:
  • use in any work, regardless of content
  • creation of derivative works
  • commercial use
  • free distribution

See Commons:Licensing for the copyright policy on Wikimedia Commons, and Commons:Image casebook for some specific examples. Some other Wikimedia projects have different licensing policies. For example, the English Wikipedia allows fair use of sounds and photographs. This is not the case on Wikimedia Commons; "fair use" materials are not acceptable here.

Please make sure that you only upload educational content you have created yourself, those which are out of copyright, or those for which you have the required permission for the work to be used in all the ways described above. Please note that derivative works of copyrighted material are also considered copyrighted. Again, please read through Commons:Licensing, which is quite crucial, to understanding how Wikimedia Commons works. Thanks for your contribution, and please do leave me a message if you have further questions.

There seems to be a problem regarding the description and/or licensing of this particular file. It has been found that you've added in the image's description only a Template that's not a license and although it provides useful information about the image, it's not a valid license. Could you please resolve this problem, adding the license in the image linked above? You can edit the description page and change the text. Uploading a new version of the file does not change the description of the file. This page may give you more hints on which license to choose. Thank you.

This message was added automatically by Nikbot, if you need some help about it please read the text above again and follow the links in it, if you still need help ask at the ? Commons:Help desk in any language you like to use. --Nikbot 21:58, 18 December 2011 (UTC)

File:Katy_Hudson_CD_backcover.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Hello CPGirlAJ.

You have uploaded one or more files that are copyright violations. You have done so despite requests from editors not to do so, and despite their instructions. See Commons:Licensing for the copyright policy on Wikimedia Commons. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules by subject matter useful.

This is your last warning. The next time you upload a file that violates copyright, you will be blocked. Please leave me a message if you have further questions.

Martin H. (talk) 22:42, 18 December 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

The files are free. They do not violate anything or anyone. Please give me a explanation about how this could possibly violate something. CPGirlAJ (talk) 22:42, 23 December 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Andrea (talk) 22:36, 23 December 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

But, how could those files be a copyright violation? They do not violate anything. i don't understand why they could violate anything. CPGirlAJ (talk) 22:40, 23 December 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
To begining with, they´re not "own work", or did you take all these pictures with your own camera? Then, mostly are captures from the web. At least the website clearly has licence is CC-BY or CC-BY-SA or public domain, almost sure they have rights and are not able to be uploaded here. And covers especially used to be "for non commercial use" wich is clearly a no-free licence. So, please, stop upload captures of pictures or your account can be bloked. Cheers. --Andrea (talk) 22:48, 23 December 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
How did everyone else upload their pictures into this website? I've seen many pictures that were clearly not token by their own cameras. So why can't I upload these pictures? It has it's own license and I think the website needs these kinds of pictures so it shouldn't be a problem. CPGirlAJ (talk) 22:52, 23 December 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
You can use this procedure. But if you continue uploading pictures with CR you´ll be block, I´m sure. Do we need this pictures? Probably, but they´re not free and they´re not accepted here. --Andrea (talk) 22:56, 23 December 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
The file is a free picture, all of them are. If, they are posted on the internet, they should be free to anyone. What is a picture with CR? CPGirlAJ (talk) 23:30, 23 December 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

You are completely wrong. All pictures from web got CR unless author says otherwise. Please read carefully all the advices in this talk_page. --Andrea (talk) 23:46, 23 December 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Ok, ok. I get it now. It's just kind of confusing at first, but I will get the hang of it. I will try my best. I am not trying to violate this website on purpose, it's just that I don't know all of the details that lead up to these things. CPGirlAJ (talk) 23:52, 23 December 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

This media was probably deleted.
Thanks for uploading File:Katy Perry Not Like The Movies Cover.png. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.

Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own).

The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:Katy Perry Not Like The Movies Cover.png]]) and the above demanded information in your request.

And also:

If you have a question concerning this process, answer below, or in case of a deletion request, on the deletion-discussion page. Do not ask on my discussion page. With best regards RE rillke questions? 22:40, 7 March 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Why did you delete those files I just uploaded? Now I have to upload them again. You said that the images had to be my own work. So I went to Microsoft Word and screen clipped the image I wanted to upload to Wikipedia. If it's my work, then why did you delete it? CPGirlAJ (talk) 22:50, 7 March 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]

The requirement is: entirely your own work. You are not allowed to reproduce copyrighted, unfree content and upload it here by any methode. This includes copying it directly, scanning, making a photography of it, making a drawing of it, etc. The same applies to simple copy&pasting around in various software which will not suddenly make something your own work. --Martin H. (talk) 22:58, 7 March 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]
The image Katy Perry Firework.png is my own work. I typed the picture and then uploaded it to Wikipedia. Why is that deleted too? CPGirlAJ (talk) 23:12, 7 March 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Because you didn't took that picture; you're not the photographer, so, you are not the autor. Is not "own work" to put letters on an internet capture. --Andrea (talk) 23:16, 7 March 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Thank you!

You are blocked for 3 days because you keep uploading copyright violations. This time you choose blatant copyvios from flickr.High Contrast (talk) 20:38, 15 June 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Its not only accidentially choosing photos from bad uploaders on Flickr - thats people who upload files to flickr that they not created themself. Its abuse of your own flickr account. You uploaded stolen photos to flickr - against the flickr terms of service that only allow you to upload self-created works there - you claimed a free license on flickr and pushed the stolen photos to our project with claiming it freely licensed by some flickr user. CPGirlAJ, the copyright holder, not some random other person, must voluntarily publish a file under a free license. --Martin H. (talk) 21:08, 15 June 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I don't get why I am blocked from Wikimedia, all I did was upload pictures that were uploaded on Flickr to Wikimedia so that I could use them on Wikipedia. (because I couldn't find any other way to upload pictures to Wikimedia. Plus, it says that I can upload pictures that say it is ok to. CPGirlAJ (talk) 19:01, 18 June 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I uploaded File:Katy Perry with Glittery Guitar.jpg from Flickr too and it is also a free picture, so why is my other uploads deleted? CPGirlAJ (talk) 19:09, 18 June 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Uploaded to flickr by you, yourself. Thats the problem. The copyright holder, only the copyright holder, not some random other person such as you, must upload the file to flickr. You can not copy other peoples work without permission. Not here, not on flickr, not via flickr to here, not anywhere else.
You other upload is ok because the copyright holder uploaded it to flickr and voluntarily published it under a free license. Your other uploads are not ok because you stole them from the internet, uploaded them to your flickr and tried to trick Commons with claiming that your illegal flickr account is the copyright holder and published it under a free license... --Martin H. The file is not a copyright violation. Even look here. The file has some rights reserved. On this page it says some rights reserved is ok to upload on Wikimedia Commons. CPGirlAJ (talk) 18:18, 13 August 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Please take a look at the extract from the deletion log at File:USA Olympic Swimming Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte.jpg - "(C) Photo by Al Bello/Getty Images - flickr user AN HONORABLE GERMAN is blacklisted at COM:QFI". The image is copyrighted, but that flickr user has uploaded it pretending that it is not, see COM:License laundering.--ukexpat (talk) 20:08, 16 August 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Ok, that makes sense. I will try not to upload copyrighted pictures to Wikimedia Commons anymore. It's just that I won't know which one is actually free and not free. Thanks for answering my question. CPGirlAJ (talk) 20:21, 16 August 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]
No problem.--ukexpat (talk) 21:12, 16 August 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Critically evaluate Flickr licenses
File:Katy-perry-and-nicki-minaj.jpg has been marked as a copyright violation. You may have preserved the information shown on Flickr correctly when transferring the image here, but the Flickr uploader is not the copyright holder of this image. Either the image was created by someone else, or it is a derivative of someone else's work. As stated in Commons:Licensing, only the copyright holder may issue a license, so the one shown on Flickr is invalid. Always remember to critically evaluate Flickr licenses. Photostreams with professional-looking photographs, album covers, posters, and images in a wide range of styles or quality taken by many different cameras often indicate that the Flickr uploader either does not understand or does not care about copyright matters. See Commons:Questionable Flickr images for a list of known bad Flickr users.

Pay attention to copyright
File:Nicki-Minaj-I-heart-radio-promo-2.jpg has been marked as a possible copyright violation. Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content—that is, images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose. Traditional copyright law does not grant these freedoms, and unless noted otherwise, everything you find on the web is copyrighted and not permitted here. For details on what is acceptable, please read Commons:Licensing. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules useful, or you can ask questions about Commons policies at the Commons:Help desk. If you are the copyright holder and the creator of the file, please read Commons:But it's my own work! for tips on how to provide evidence of that.

The file you added has been deleted. If you have written permission from the copyright holder, please have them send us a free license release via COM:VRT. If you believe that the deletion was not in accordance with policy, you may request undeletion. (It is not necessary to request undeletion if using VRT; the file will be automatically restored at the conclusion of the process.)

Warning: Wikimedia Commons takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

Why are the images I uploaded from Flickr are getting deleted? They are not copyright violations. Even look at the license. It said "some rights reserved", which means I can upload it on to Wikimedia Commons. CPGirlAJ (talk) 20:36, 4 November 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]
People uploading images to Flickr can give images whatever license they want. That doesn't stop them being a copyright violation if the copyright holder of the image hasn't given permission to release the image. In the case of this image, I found a copy of it here, where the caption says "poses in the portrait studio at the iHeartRadio Music Festival held at the MGM Grand". It's obviously a professional portrait and there is no evidence that the owner of the copyright has given permission for the person who uploaded it to Flickr to do so. They've simply stolen the image and uploaded it to Flickr as their own. As I told you at Wikipedia,[1] you need to at least do a Google search to confirm that the image you're uploading doesn't actually belong to someone else. --AussieLegend (talk) 08:08, 5 November 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]

File:Katy Perry and Russell Brand.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not.

Thank you!

Can you please tell me which day this image was proposed for deletion? I don't no why it is proposed for deletion because it is not a copyright violation. Why did someone delete it already? I can't find the image and now it's lost. What do I do? CPGirlAJ (talk) 03:06, 22 November 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]
