File:Negroponte quote from TED 2014.jpg[edit]

Originally from the TED Flickr profile that has a NC license. Ytoyoda (talk) 15:19, 16 March 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Greetings!I'm very new to this process so I may have done something incorrectly. I assumed I have credited everything to be able to use the image. I was actually following a training module for my class about finding images on Commons to be able to use on an article I'm editing. I followed the step by step tutorial, but obviously I'm not sure where I went wrong. If you will direct me to the correct way, I'd appreciate it. Thanks for understanding! Please know I'm still learning. KRCPhilmon (talk) 00:18, 31 March 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Deleted: KRCPhilmon, the issue here is that - while the flickr link on the photo is definitely free, that flickr photo is taken from another one (which Ytoyoda linked) which is not freely-licensed. This is a case of flickr-washing - using Flickr to claim a photo as freely-licensed when it is actually stolen. I am deleting this and will add the flickr account to the list of accounts we do not accept images from. -mattbuck (Talk) 19:47, 16 April 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]
