Rationale[edit]
- Reason: Copyvios related to Jay Park. Various copyvios were uploaded to Commons and English Wikipedia by User:Dogwalkerz, e.g. File:Take-a-deeper-look.jpg. The user was blocked for 48 hours on Wikipedia by Future Perfect at Sunrise, and during that time, two suspicious accounts were created on Wikipedia, which both edited Wikipedia articles related to Jay Park and/or file information pages for files uploaded by en:User:Dogwalkerz. The first one, en:User:Dangook44, was quickly blocked on Wikipedia as a sockpuppet by Future Perfect at Sunrise, while the second one, en:User:Orangeyriver, hasn't been blocked. Neither Dangook44 nor Orangeyriver has ever had any activity on Commons.
Today I noticed a discussion at COM:HD#User:Denniss: a new Commons account, User:Dongshin425, complains that User:Denniss has deleted all of his files. By inspecting the file names, I see that all files appear to be related to Jay Park. Looking at the user's user page, I find a link to a Flickr stream. It says that it is a recent account (created in May 2012) and all photos seem to lack EXIF. Take particular notice to this photo, which is identical to File:Take-a-deeper-look.jpg mentioned above.
As you can see, the Flickr user name, dongshin425, is almost identical to the Commons user name, Dongshin425; only capitalisation differs. I suspect that User:Dongshin425 is a sockpuppet for User:Dogwalkerz and that the Flickr account is used for the purpose of Flickrwashing. Stefan4 (talk) 12:41, 13 May 2012 (UTC)
Results[edit]
- Done - maybe not a perfect match but passes the duck test for me - both blocked as abusing multiple account plus the other one mentioned which looks pretty similar. Thanks --Herby talk thyme 12:50, 13 May 2012 (UTC)
